The Baha’i International Community sent a letter last week to Ayatollah Mohammad Sadeq Larijani, the head of the Iranian Judiciary, highlighting anti-Baha’i persecution. The letter requests that “the Baha’is in that country be granted their full rights of citizenship, in order that they may be able to fulfill their heartfelt aspiration to contribute, alongside their fellow citizens, to the advancement of their nation.” It goes on to contrast the abusive treatment of Baha’is in Iran with the Iranian government’s own calls for Muslim minorities to be treated well in other countries.
