We’re looking for a few good (and not so good) men and women for a genocide simulation!

The Sentinel Project for Genocide Prevention needs your help! We are an NGO developing an open source early warning system for Genocide. Currently, we are developing a threatwiki to catalogue and track flashpoints in various situations of concern where genocide is a likely threat for target groups.

One of our Research Analysts is undertaking a research project looking into the effects of globalization on genocide response. A genocide simulation is being planned to take place in the city of Toronto and we need a two teams (at total of 10-14 members) to help us examine self-organized strategies and technology use from the perspective of genocide rescuers or collaborators.

Group Affiliations will be assigned randomly. If interested please send an e-mail to the address below telling us a bit about yourselves and why you’re interested. All participants will be interviewed via questionnaire, regarding their opinions and experience in the simulation. The simulation should take no longer than a day, and will be moderated in real-time via twitter, msn messenger, and mobile texting.

If interested please contact Troy at the following e-mail below. Please include your name, age,  and a survey of the following information and communications technologies you have at your disposal.

Mobile/Texting, (with local 416/647/289 area codes)
Mobile Instant Messaging (MSN)
Laptop Instant Messaging (MSN)
Mobile / Twitter
Laptop /Twitter

Feel free to volunteer if you do not have any of the above.

Disclaimer: Nobody will be harmed during this exercise.
