I run a anti genocide organisation in Australia it would be wonderful to be a part of this course. It is a volunteer run organisation so I am not sure about what would be affordable, I am also mid masters degree. Will there be any discounts for people running organisations/ students?
Looking forward to hearing more about the course.

Alex, I couldn't agree with you more. Humanitarian interventions are too rare and usually come far too late if at all, which is why the Sentinel Project will support advocacy efforts but we will not do advocacy ourselves. We are much more excited about the potential to warn people of impending attacks and helping to make their communities more resilient. If outside help isn't coming, then people at risk should be able to help themselves and there are lots of ways that technology can fit into that.

Thanks for the thoughts, Chris. I see the potential for helping people escape attacks by warning them that they're in danger. I remain unmoved by arguments, including the recent one in the Times, that knowing more in advance, or having more (and better) images, will by itself change anything. The failure to act against atrocities, especially by the United States, has never been due to lack of information. The calculus is always material rather than moral. Only in cases where there is no material interest at stake does a moral argument have any chance of prevailing.
